The Role

The Director, Delivery Management role is both big and detail­-oriented. You will be the person responsible for the prioritization and execution of product, services and our most critical projects. As a close partner and collaborator to the product and engineering organizations, you will report to the COO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of delivery managers and project managers responsible for internal and external customer-facing projects.
  • Oversee the work processes, tasks and ultimately ensure the successful delivery of products and services at Plusgrade.  
  • Take ownership of the monthly planning activities, weekly prioritization meetings, and related protocols.
  • Empower the product and engineering organization by providing an efficient prioritization and capacity planning process, ensuring the right work gets pulled into the process  based on business prioritization.
  • Build strong relationships both internally across the organization to ensure cross-­functional collaboration and externally with partners and third-parties.
  • Design, implement and improve consistent and repeatable processes for delivery that balance the predictable requirements of an enterprise­-facing B2B business and the internal demands to remain flexible and agile.
  • Creates and enables an environment for continuous improvement.
  • Work with our partners and serve as a point of escalation.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. PMP and Agile Certification are a plus.
  • 5+ years of delivery/project management experience in both agile/lean environments and delivering software to business customer (B2B).
  • Strong experience in an agile environment.
  • Experience with Kanban and replenishment meeting are a plus.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience in capacity planning and project planning.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps and Jira.
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Focused on results and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 20%).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, and ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Patience, a sense of humor, and a willingness to mentor and learn.
