Front End / UX Engineer

If you are an HTML, CSS, JavaScript and DOM expert, are passionate about building aesthetically pleasing, intuitive and engaging web experiences, are interested in working with the latest technologies, deploying code daily, and seeing your work used by millions of people in countries all over the world, then show us something really cool you’ve built recently or send us a link to your Github account.

Required Experience:

  • Expert coding abilities in HTML, CSS and Javascript with strong knowledge of the latest standards (HTML5, CSS3)
  • Proficient with Ajax, JQuery, JSON
  • Server side skills with Groovy/Grails, Java/Spring
  • Experience in standards-driven coding, with solid experience coding to multiple browsers and resolving cross-browser layout issues
  • Solid graphic/interactive design skills; working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Proficient and solid understanding with responsive web design

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Node.js and Backbone.js a big plus
  • Experience with Services Oriented Architecture and Agile methodology
  • Experience with accepted software development practices, such as code reviews, source/version control, unit/integration testing, defect management
  • A passion for the world of travel is a definite plus
